Advertisements

One of my friends bought a new brand's weight-reducing aid two weeks ago, because she saw the advertisement on TV about it, and was attractived by the effective showed in the advertisement. But after using two weeks, he told me that it was useless and he should not have believed that advertisement.

Information is spreading much more rapidly than before in today's life. If you take a look around, you are able to find that there are advertisements everywhere, on TV, on Internet, on radio, on newspaper and so on. They provide us the latest news of sales and much information about goods. For a company or a factory, advertising may be the most effective way to let their products be known by public. Meanwhile, advertisements can guide the customer. They may help us a lot before we make a choice.

But sometimes, you may be mislead to an unwise decision by advertisements. They exaggerate advantages that the goods may not have at all. Some credulous customers will regret having bought something of no use or of poor quality, only due to the tempting pictures and words. It is a waste of money. As a result, more and more people begin to lose their trust. The original effect of advertisements dies away.

Traveling

When I was a child and sitting in front of the TV and watching the Discovery Channel, I was totally attractived by what it showed, not only the nature of the earth but also those which were created and built by human beings around the world. Through it I found the world is much bigger than that I imagined, and those different cultures from different countries are so interesting. And after that I began to have a dream, which is to travel around world, to visit as much as possible places on earth, to see those wonders of the world by my own eyes.
I was born in Shanghai, I had comfortable life there. One day, my parents told me that we had a chance to immigrate to the United States, and asked me if I was willing go there. I knew when I be in US, I would face a lot of problems because I would be in a totally different country with different cultures from my motherland. Finally I still decided to come here, one of the most important reasons was that I wanted to feel a different world from what I was living in before.
When I was reading the textbook, I saw a sentence " The world is a book and those who don't travel read only a page", I totally agree with it and I also believe that the world is a book that can not be finished, but I hope I could read as much as possible.
